Graded NM/MT 8 by PSA. The offered specimen is 1 of just 11 copies to have been graded NM/MT 8 by PSA with not a single card graded higher. Parnell was having just come off an amazing 25-7 record in just his second season and so Bowman Gum Inc. tabbed him as the number one card in the 1950 release. The card appears at the very highest end of the grade with an exceptionally well imaged and focused picture of the Red Sox lefty. The borders are a stunning white while the interior colors are a vibrant fresh blue of his cap as well as the fiery flesh tones of his face. The corners each are strong for the grade and stand as pillars to the assessment of the graders at PSA. A terrific card that will be a defining jewel in any high grade 1950 Bowman set.
