Graded PSA 8 NM/MT. A virtually impossible card to find with adequate enough centering for superior consideration, the presented example of Jim Brown's famous 1958 Topps rookie issue has been surpassed by just 6 total specimens on record at PSA from a massive population pool approaching 1,500 examples on record, a number that may seem low to collectors familiar with the 1958 Topps baseball population report, but a number that is in fact incredibly vast considering how few '58 Topps football cards were produced relative to its '58 baseball issue. The presented specimen displays an expected NM/MT centering preference for the top and right edges as well as a NM/MT obverse surface, both of which are adequately counterbalanced by sharp, pack-fresh corners and edges rating at the level of NM/MT+ to even MINT. Finally, and just as importantly, the susceptible red-printed reverse perimeter is surprisingly clear of any noticeably advance chipping. An unusually challenging 50's era "Top 200 Sportscard," often considered the gridiron equivalent of the famous '52 Topps Mantle, offered in NM/MT 8 condition and ranking in the top 11% of all similar submissions on record at PSA.
