The 1959 Topps set is lauded for its incredible color as well as a tremendous lineup of Cooperstown-bound ballplayers, one of which is Bob Gibson on his all-important rookie card. As thrilling as it was for a baseball card collector to plunk down a nickel and pop open that red and yellow wax wrapper to see what treasures accompany the pink bubble gum slab, many wild-eyed kids found it more convenient to purchase their cards through vending machines, filled through the production of 500-count vending boxes like the one featured here. This particular box originates from the 4th series, a section loaded with plenty of Hall of Famers, and features crisp cards that offer blinding white borders and pack-fresh color. A fantastic holdover from a golden age of baseball!

Please note BBCE does not currently wrap vending boxes that they have not seen come from unopened vending cases

Please note we have added an image of the contents of the vending box. As you will see there is a gap in the interior of the box. We have also added an image of the 1964 Topps High Number vending box also offered in this auction. We have done this to show that the 1959 box is a longer box and that is why there is a gap in the interior of the box. Please also note that in a previous auction we offered a 1960 Unsearched vending box that also had a gap in the box and was offered in the slightly larger box to the same dimensions of the featured 1959 Topps unsearched vending box.

Exceptionally Rare 1959 Topps Fourth/Fifth Series Unopened 500-Count Vending Box Featuring Possible Clemente, Aaron, Ford Etc.
