Though not selected to be used as the 2015 New York Mets Championship ring from among the various designs, this beauty offers a wonderful contrast of the Mets team colors with a blue stone backdrop supporting the orange stones in the "NY" logo. The left side has an engraved "Murphy" and "28" for Daniel Murphy, the team's starting 2nd baseman. The ring originates from the estate of Mr. Robert Joseph Ilg, who had worked as the plant manager for ring manufacturer Herff Jones. Weight is 68 grams, tested at 14K gold, size 11 1/2.
