Hampered by Achilles tendon injuries throughout his career, Olmedo Saenz had the potential to blossom into one of the most feared fastball hitters in the league, but was forced to retire after filing for free agency from the Dodgers and failing to make the Mets roster in 2008. The offered stick was used by Seanz during his final season with the Dodgers, as evidenced by the stamping on the knob, and shows numerous ball, rack and cleat marks along with a cracked handle.
