With the possible exception of Lew Alcindor, there has never been a more celebrated player to enter the NBA draft than LeBron James. James was such a unique talent at a young age that many of his high school games were nationally televised, with some even suggesting that he ranked among the top 5 players in the NBA before he scored his first professional basket. The day he was selected as the overall #1 draft pick by his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, the landscape of professional basketball was altered in a way that hadn't been since Michael Jordan came into the Association. Now 10 seasons into in NBA career, LeBron is the undisputed king of basketball, having won 3 of the last 4 Most Valuable Player Awards, and a 4th trophy will likely be in LeBron's possession before you read this. Though the talk is premature, and many will never subscribe to it, "King" James' name has been mentioned as potentially becoming the greatest player in basketball history. Which makes the presented jersey all the more special! This jersey was worn by 19 year old Lebron James during his rookie season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. On the left front tail is the “Reebok” manufacturer’s tag. Attached are three flag tags, “Playdry”, “2003-2004” and “50 2LB”. Across the front is “CAVALIERS”. Player number “23” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill with a bronze embroidered border. Player name “JAMES” appears across the back in white on bronze tackle twill. At the back of the neck is the team “C” logo. On the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. At the front neck is the team “C” logo. It is our opinion that the offered jersey is in fact a game worn uniform from James' first season and comes with a full LOA from Mile High Card Company.
