At age 36, it’s likely he could play five more seasons and amass another 900 hits, which would place him in the top five in major league history! The Captain of the Yankees since 2003, Jeter’s presence in the lineup has played a pivotal role in the Yankees dynasty, having secured five World Series Championships while being named to the All-Star game ten times. With a lengthy and successful career in the Big Apple, Derek Jeter memorabilia still remains high in demand, yet low in supply, with game-used equipment and signed items rarely being offered to the collecting public. Offered is a game-used Derek Jeter “pre-rookie” bat, used by the Yankee Captain during his 1994 season while with the Chandler Diamondbacks of the Arizona Fall League, along with an Official Arizona Fall League baseball, signed by Jeter in blue ball-point pen. The early Official Arizona Fall League baseball has been signed by Jeter a mere few months after his high school graduation. The ball has been submitted to both PSA/DNA as well as JSA, both of whom declined to issue LOAs, citing the lack of exemplars of such an early Jeter autograph. As such, the ball is being sold "as is" without any LOA for the autograph. The bat is a black Louisville Slugger P72 model, the same style Jeter uses to rough up pitchers today, but the “DEREK JETER” block lettering dates back to the Arizona Fall League, as does the early style signature on the Arizona Fall League Baseball. Also, the bat was acquired from a clubhouse manager at the Tuscan facility of the Arizona league. Excellent game use is exhibited, with ball marks on the label and barrel, and large cracks in the handle. This is one of the most desired and exclusive pieces of game-used material in the modern era!
