A three-time World Series champion with the Oakland A's, catcher Gene Tenace joined the St. Louis Cardinals for two seasons starting in 1981. Offered is a game-used St. Louis Cardinals jersey, worn by Tenace during the 1981 season. Inside the front right tail is the Rawlings size 42 label and a team tag with "Set 1 1978." The jersey was originally worn by pitching coach Claude Osteen, who wore #18 in 1978. The outline of the name "OSTEEN" can be identified under the letters "TENACE," proving that this gamer was re-issued to Tenace years after Osteen had worn it. LOA from Mile High Card Company.
