Explosive in color and resonating with a hint of psychedelic appearance appropriate for the time period, the 1972 Topps baseball release remains a collector favorite to this day. For many, the set marks the end of the "vintage" era as the transition into more "modern" cards is certainly thought of as being in the early- to mid-1970s. Offered here is a high-grade complete set from that mind-bending year with virtually every key card graded PSA 8 or higher, highlighted by a delightful PSA 9 specimen of #595 Nolan Ryan. Card #49 Mays, 130 Gibson, and 310 Roberto Clemente IA are graded PSA 8.5, #50 Mays IA and 696 Carew IA are graded PSA 7, and 52 cards are graded PSA 8, including #1 Pirates Team, 37 Yastrzemski, 51 Killebrew, 100 F. Robinson, 132 Morgan, 200 Brock, 270 Palmer, 280 McCovey, 299 Aaron, 300 Aaron IA, 309 Clemente, 420 Carlton, 433 Bench, 434 Bench IA, 435 R. Jackson, 436 R. Jackson IA, 441 Munson, 442 Munson IA, 445 Seaver, 446 Seaver IA, 447 Stargell, 550 B. Robinson, 559 Rose, 560 Rose IA, 600 Kaline, 686 Garvey, 695 Carew, 752 Morgan Traded, 754 F. Robinson Traded, and 777 Wilhelm. The rest of the set is 5% MINT, 45% NM/MT, 40% NM, and 10% EX/MT with #79 Fisk/Cooper RC NM.
