Any card from the jet-black bordered 1971 Topps series is tough to find in MINT condition or better, but when it's a Hall of Famer like Willie Stargell, it becomes a centerpiece to pace a set trying to gain control on the PSA Set Registry. Near perfectly centered with barely any evidence of chipping to be found, the card certainly earns its place as one of just 21 to be graded PSA 9 with just one graded higher. His 48 round-trippers in 1971 would take top honors among his National League contemporaries, an honor he would repeat in 1973.
