Long hailed as one of the biggest stumbling blocks to breaking into the upper-echelon of the PSA Set Registry, we offer a PSA 9 MINT example of Reggie Jackson's 1969 Topps rookie card. Four powerfully MINT corners, one or two of which can easily make their case for a GEM MINT assessment, surround a pack-fresh image that is a perfectly printed representation of the former #2 overall pick on his rise to superstardom. The centering, usually an obstacle to the upper grades, shows no evidence of a tilt or any bias towards an edge. The all important reverse is buoyed by a deeply pigmented salmon canvas that is a masterpiece. To date a mere 40 copies of this exceptional card have attained the elite status of a MINT 9 grade and only one example has been graded higher, a fact all the more impressive when considering that almost 8,000 copies of this card have been reviewed by PSA!
