Graded PSA 9 MINT. A truly staggering example of Mickey Mantle's 1965 Topps issue, the offered specimen boasts perfect centering as well as a borderline GEM MINT perimeter highlighted by four MINT+ to GEM MINT corners between strong MINT+ edges. The image registration is perfect, rendering a pristinely focused image of the famed Bronx Bomber against a bold backdrop with just a few traces of extraneous print, hardly perceptible in person let alone in our high resolution scan, and no doubt the primary catalyst for the opined grade. The only other non-GEM feature throughout appears to be a small nick on the bottom edge of the otherwise perfect blue-printed reverse perimeter. With no examples yet surfacing in the GEM MINT 10 tier, the offered near GEM must be considered one of the very finest extant. Extremely high-end!
