Earning his second career National League batting crown the previous season, Pirates favorite Roberto Clemente returns on a close-up portrait for his 1965 Topps pasteboard. Almost 3,500 1965 Topps Roberto Clemente cards are on record at PSA and there has yet to be even one to reach the PSA 10 level, leaving collectors to wonder what kind of skyrocketing price the first one will bring, if it ever happens. This one has recently emerged from grading and offers several attributes required for GEM MINT status. The immaculate surface booms with clean colors and a generous layer of gloss while corners and edges register at the MINT to GEM MINT level. A wonderful card that any set builder or Clemente collector should pursue, because you don't get many opportunities at this card and this grade level.
