Offered is a delightfully preserved and 100% complete 1965 Topps baseball card set that features 214 PSA-graded cards, with dozens of ultra high-grade stars and Hall of Famers, including incisive, pack-fresh PSA MINT 9 examples of Mickey Mantle, Pete Rose, Orlando Cepeda, and others. Just imagine rummaging through the dusty recesses of an attic and discovering this brick of classic cardboard and then submitting the nicest few hundred for grading and realizing MINT 9 perfection on the set's two most coveted (and expensive) cards: Mantle and Rose. The ungraded portion of the set is obviously not as sharp as the graded portion, but presents well, with noticeably bold colors and predominantly sharp corners and edges. The ungraded portion breaks down as follows: 5% NM/MT or better, 25% NM, 50% EX/MT, 20% EX or below. The 214-card graded portion of the set boasts an admirable GPA of 7.74 and is highlighted by borderline GEM MINT specimens of Mantle and Rose, as well as dozens of strong PSA 8 NM/MT specimens of stars and HOFers that all feature the older (pre-half point) PSA flip.
