Steve Carlton was one of the most successful pitchers of the post-war era, and he made his debut on opening day of 1965 at Wrigley Field. "Lefty" took the bump for the Cards, walked a batter, and then exited the game. Not exactly the most memorable performance, but there were plenty of highlights to follow over the next 24 years.
