Nobody knows definitively why the Topps Dice Game series never got much past the conceptual phase but this SGC 1 graded example might hold the answer to that question on the card's reverse. Multiple changes to the reverse, all of which seem to revise singles, doubles and home runs to strikeout or pop out, suggest that Topps was giving Hall of Famer Don Drysdale far too much credit as a hitter. With only one or two known specimens of each card in the collection, securing any Dice Game card is a tremendous win for any advanced collector.
