After breaking his relationship with Topps, Ted Williams signed an exclusive contract with Fleer for 1959 and became the only subject in an 80-card series. The set tells of the life of "The Splendid Splinter" from childhood up to 1958. Card #68 was pulled from the set early in production and is scarce, but included in this fabulous offering in impressive PSA 8 condition, along with cards #1 and 70. The rest of the set is EX/MT to NM overall with a few higher and a few lower, mainly due to common centering issues.
