Graded PSA 9 MINT. My goodness is this a beautiful Roger Maris rookie! Unsurpassed in its class at PSA with less than 2 dozen competitors on record, the offered specimen professes a brilliant sharpness of image uncommon for the issue. Pixel-perfect registration combines with incredibly bold but evenly saturated color impressions to render an incomparable image of the former single season home run king. Roger's sparkling blue-green eyes meet the admiring enthusiast's gaze with characteristic humility. The autumnal orange backdrop is incredibly pristine, and over the entire surface there shines an uncharacteristically smooth application of factory fresh gloss. Amazing! The corners each present as stalwart MINT confluences of even sturdier MINT to GEM MINT edges. The centering, finally, is near perfect, with perhaps a nominal inclination for the west edge, somewhat illusively supported by a microscopic leftward shift of the blue banner at bottom.
