With the exception of just a few others, Sandy Koufax is among the most highly collected post-war baseball players in the hobby. While most advanced collectors could give you a detailed description of every Topps card Koufax appears on, even the most seasoned aficionado is likely to draw a blank at the mention of the extremely scarce 1958 Bell brand issue. It certainly shouldn't be a surprise since PSA has only graded 55 specimens, and just one other has matched this incredible example at the grade of PSA 9 with none higher. In fact, only 9 cards from the entire 1958 Bell Brand series has reached the MINT level with a GEM MINT yet to be recorded. Only the slightest trace of imperfection can been seen at the green-bordered endpoints and you need a mighty strong loupe to even acknowledge it while the image quality, centering and factory-fresh reverse is above reproach. An extremely important and powerful example that will not only impact the PSA Set Registry but raise the status of even the most accomplished collections.
