The Johnston Cookie Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin produced three sets of Milwaukee Braves cards, which could be acquired in their Pops Cookies packages or by mail order. The second of the three sets, issued in 1954, contains 35 cards and is highlighted by Hank Aaron's rookie issue and the scarce Bob Thomson card, pulled out of production and thus, very short printed. Offered here is a near complete set, 27 of the 35 cards to be exact, and includes Hall of Famers Aaron, Mathews, Spahn, as well as the short-printed Thomson. The group is virtually all EX to NM/MT with the majority registering as NM. Key cards include Mathews NM, Thomson EX, Spahn NM/MT+ and Aaron NM. Needed to complete the set are #11, 12, 13, 15, 24, 29, and 42.
