With the 1952 Topps card of Mickey Mantle out of reach for all but the most advanced collector, even in low grade, many fans of "The Commerce Comet" are turning to his second-year issue. Considered by many to be a more attractive card aesthetically, the '53 edition of Mantle's Topps card is still within reach of most collectors in mid-grade, but that's beginning to change as well. With that in mind, it might be time to get on board and lock down this PSA 6 example while you can. Positioned toward the left edge, the card exhibits wonderful color and far less chipping on the red edges than usual for the grade, compensation for the centering bias. If you've always wanted to add one to your collection, you need to do it soon!
