With perfect centering and a virtually immaculate image, the offered 1953 Topps Mickey Mantle has been graded GAI NM/MT 8. Other highlights include gently rough-cut edges, accurately graded NM/MT corners, a clean and accurately centered reverse, and a near perfect surface with a profuse application of gloss. Mick’s memorable image is perfectly registered, and the only perceivable surface defects include a minute print mark between his first and last name as well as two extremely shallow and inconspicuous indentations, one across the bridge of Mick’s nose and the other just above his cap, mentioned merely for the sake of accuracy. A powerfully appealing card that presents several exceptionally high-grade features more commonly associated with MINT to GEM MINT examples.
