The one and only PSA 8 Eddie Collins on record, and one of only 3 PSA 8's out of over 600 submissions from the entire 1951 Topps Connie Mack's All-Star Team series, the featured card will not only boost any PSA Set Registry collection but also serve as a fitting addition to any world-class type collection. The large majority of cards from this series are low grade, due to corner wear resulting from the size of the card or, in many cases, completely missing the red background surrounding the die-cut image. Only 3% of cards from the series have managed a grade at or above PSA 7, and neither of the other two existing PSA 8s (Gehrig and Wagner) have been seen in quite some time. Barely any evidence of wear is visible at the endpoints, totally earning the rarely seen NM/MT assessment, while the rich red and yellow coloring on the surface is truly sublime. A magnificent specimen from a remarkable collection that predates the iconic '52 Topps series.
