Featuring a young rookie sensation by the name of Mickey Charles Mantle, the offered 1947-66 Exhibits card honors the 1951 New York Yankees World Championship team, and has been graded NM/MT 8 by PSA, the only example in the grade with none higher. Joining only the 1951 Bowman issue and the Wheaties premium in making the youngster from Commerce, OK known to the world, the Mick is seated in the middle row, fourth from the right, easily discernible due to the high quality of the image. Importantly, the man who he would replace in center field, fellow Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio, is also in the image, in the back row second from the right. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only card issued that features both of the all-time greats together. Other HOFers in the image include Berra, Rizzuto, and Mize, but it's the inaugural image of the Commerce Comet that makes this item so important, not only in baseball history, but all of Americana. A fabulous item presented at the very height of the grade level, and an absolute necessity for any advanced Yankee collector!
