A great "triple" photo of a rookie Phil Rizzuto during Spring Training 1941. After being Minor League Player of the Year in 1940, Rizzuto was taking over short for Yankee elder statesman, Frank Crosetti. Rizzuto is seen in three different photos, turning a double play with another young player, probably second baseman Jerry Priddy. The photo measures 7" x 10.5" and has the usual amounts of crazing, while the verso has the "International News Photo" and "Central Press March 1, 1941" stamps plus the brown paper remnants of the original paper caption. There is some penned tracing over several of the images including Rizzuto in all three photos. It does not affect the actual player images. Certified as authentic by PSA/DNA.
