One of only 5 copies to attain PSA 9 MINT status, it should be noted that the 1941 Play Ball series has produced surprising few MINT specimens, with less than 1% of all PSA submissions from the set achieving the grade of PSA 9 or higher. In comparison, the 1939 Play Ball set has produced over twice as many MINT specimens with roughly the same number of submissions. Offered here is a truly stunning MINT copy of the "Meal Ticket", legendary Giants Hall of Fame hurler Carl Hubbell, in brilliant PSA 9 MINT condition. Virtually perfect centering frames an incredible image of Hubbell, with sharp tones of green, red, and blue that accentuate the brilliance of the alabaster perimeter, while each razor sharp corner blurs the line between MINT and GEM MINT. In fact, there seems to be no significant, identifiable flaw that prevents this blazer from becoming the first GEM MINT specimen!
