This example of Joe D's 1939 Play Ball card can be summed up in one word ... outstanding! Presented is a near-flawlessly centered image of the Yankee Clipper that is quite possibly the most well-defined and precisely focused image that we've ever encountered on this card. The four corners stand tall and proud, each quite defiantly having avoided any perceptible flaws over their seven plus decades of existence and flaunting solid right angles. The surface offers a smooth supple finish without any hindrance of pitting or notching. The reverse is well printed with deep bold black ink forming a stunning bio of the Yankee legend. Offered in superlative and totally memorizing NM/MT condition.
