The sprawling 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" size of the 1934 Butterfinger Premium issue makes it a very demanded collectible in today's hobby, but examples from the 65-card collection are rarely seen due to their extremely limited production. Available only via a mail-in offer with Butterfinger candy bars as well as other types of candy, the collection is headlined by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. With such fantastic photography and tremendous size, you might think these cards are the perfect canvas to attain a player autograph, but to date, only 2 are on record with PSA/DNA and they are both Babe Ruth autographs. Without seeing the other known example we can safely say that the featured piece is the better of the two if not the single greatest Babe Ruth signed card known to exist! Graded a perfect GEM MINT 10 by PSA/DNA, the Babe's bold black ink fountain pen signature appears just southwest of the facsimile and is just flawless from start to finish. The card is mounted on the newspaper clipping which also offers a vintage photo of Ruth. An extremely rare card and a virtually perfect autograph of Babe Ruth that earns PSA/DNA's ultimate grade. For Babe Ruth autograph collectors, you can't do much better than this!
