Graded NM/MT 8 by PSA. Imagine digging into your pockets long ago for the required penny for a an unopened pack of newly introduced Big League chewing gum which included one Baseball player picture card. The cent would have bought you a stunning red, green and blue colored pack with a ballplayer pictured on the front, if the buyer was a truly lucky guy the pack would have revealed a stunning crisp rendering of the "Iron Horse" Lou Gehrig just like this one. Encapsulated and preserved by PSA that same delight is now offered here in all of its fanciful creation. The colorful robins egg blue background that supports the batting stance of the immortal slugger shines forth from the undisturbed surface of this regal pasteboard. Each of the four corners stand loud and tall as if to warrant off any consideration of wear. The centering is ever so slightly shifted to the right edge and most likely was the stumbling block to a higher assessment by the PSA God's! The reverse is a pleasing slate white with a pure green inked bio that reads "One of the biggest siege guns of the New York Yankees" as if to provide young gum-sters the info that they weren't already aware of. A fresh and overall pleasing Lou Gehrig collectible offered in stupendous NM/MT condition.
