Originally auctioned off in 2010 as part of the personal collection of legendary hobbyist, Bill Mastro. The patriotic flag patches on their left sleeves date the offered image to the 1917 season, when The White Sox roared through the American League with a record of 100–54, still a franchise record for wins and winning percentage, ultimately winning the pennant by 9 games over the Boston Red Sox. From left to right, the subjects present are Joe Jackson, Shano Collins, Happy Felsch, Eddie Murphy and Nemo Leibold. The 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" image, although very slightly out of focus rates easily in EX-MT condition. The reverse bears pencil notations and Culver Pictures stampings on this George Grantham Bain Type I - 1st generation original photo that is accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA.
