Graded MINT 96 (9) by SGC. Issued as part of one of the all-time classic releases in the history of our hobby, the 1915 Cracker Jack issue, this amazing example of Hall of Fame pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander has been assessed an astonishing MINT 9 by SGC. The offered card is 1 of just 2 copies that has been graded at the level of MINT 96 (9) by the east coast grading organization. Each of the four corners stands at full attention and appears as MINT today as the day the card was manufactured. It's quite obvious from first inspection that the offered card originated from a redemption offer rather than the out-of-the-box variety as this card shows absolutely no evidence of caramel staining and without question skipped the possibility of ever having been handled by a sticky-fingered, Cracker Jack-crunching kid. The borders are lily white and are evenly centered to astute proportions, the color of red is deep and registered to perfection, while the surface is smooth with no pitfalls to encounter. The reverse is fully printed in a deep black set against a stunning slate white with no blemishes or stains present. A stunning and alluring card offered in truly astonishing and pleasing MINT condition.
