Up for grabs is a magnificently presentable example of Tris Speaker's 1911 T3 Turkey Red issue that has been graded GAI Authentic due to the fact that the cabinet has been professionally re-backed on a clean piece of card stock. If you collect this set in low-grade, or are considering a collection in any grade, the offered specimen would make for an affordable entry for Speaker's otherwise expensive issue. Even in torn, creased, marked up low-grades, this card commands a strong price, but this one truly looks EX/MT to NM, excepting its back, which is saying quite a lot considering that no examples have ever graded above EX 5. So if you're comfortable with the restorative work, here you can feasibly have a nicer looking T3 Tris Speaker than even the world's finest Set Registry. Go figure.
