With just 4 other specimens sharing the highest grade ever recorded at PSA, presented is a brilliant example of Christy Mathewson's phenomenal 1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinet. While Turkey Reds have always been held in high regard for their mesmerizing full-color prints, the offered example reaches well beyond the ordinary, delivering a stunning lithograph that retains every bit of its original luster, with "Big Six" standing on a radiant, lime-green field that greets the powder-blue sky in a confluence of red and pink hues. The image of Mathewson itself exhibits overwhelmingly bold, almost larger than life print registration, with every detail conveying impeccable precision. Each of the four corners has experienced the typical mild chipping you'd normally associate with a PSA 6 assessment, however they still appear relatively sharp with only minimal rounding. The reverse contains deep print that appears amazingly fresh for a century-old relic. Less than 1% of all Turkey Reds ever graded at PSA have broken the PSA 6 threshold, confirming the amazing rarity of this iconic beauty. Certainly a prized premium worthy of a world-class collection!
