Presented is an elite example of Christy Mathewson's phenomenal 1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinet card. While all Turkey Reds are held in high esteem for their mesmerizing full-color prints, the depiction of "Big Six" is one of the most alluring in the collection and served on the cover of our January, 2012 catalog. This stunning lithographic front retains every bit of its original luster, with Mathewson posed amid a radiant, lime-green field, separated from the cloud-covered sky by a pinkish haze. The image of Mathewson itself is presented with accurate registration, every detail exhibiting impeccable precision. The corners have experienced some nominal chipping that you'd normally associate with a PSA 5 assessment and some light discoloration is present at the top border, but make no mistake; this prize gives an appearance that exceeds the PSA determination.
