Presented is a brilliant mid-grade example of Christy Mathewson's phenomenal 1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinet. While Turkey Reds have always been held in high esteem for their mesmerizing full-color prints, the offered example reaches well beyond the ordinary, into the extraordinary, with only a handful graded slightly higher on the PSA pop report. The stunning lithographic front retains every bit of its original luster, with "Big Six" standing on a radiant, lime-green field that meets the cloud-laden sky in a confluence of red and pink hues. The image of Mathewson itself exhibits an overwhelmingly bold print registration, every detail presented with impeccable precision. Each of the four corners has experienced the typical chipping you'd normally associate with a PSA 5 assessment, however they still appear relatively sharp with only minimal rounding. The reverse is particularly bold, with deep print that appears as fresh as it was a century ago. A prized premium worthy of a world-class caliber collection.
