Graded NM+ 86 (7.5) by SGC. A recently graded example that boasts as being the one and only copy on record to be graded NM+ 7.5 by SGC with none graded higher! A handsomely preserved example of this exceptionally popular issue, precisely centered with astounding white borders framing a vibrant image of the man who in essence helped the junior circuit come of age. Three of the four corners stand at attention each coming to nearly exact points with the lower left corners showing the most minor of blunting and the lower right a small chip of enamel at the very tip of the corner. The surface is awash with color highlighted by a cranberry background that perfectly houses the image of the gray sweater clad Lajoie. The surface is electric held underneath a diminutive layer of gloss. The reverse is pleasingly printed and void of nary a disturbance. A scintillating offering made at the very top of the opined grade.
