Known for their brilliant background colors as well as their relative scarcity, this group of 17 cards hails from the Standard Caramel set, an issue loaded with baseball legends. Half of the entire 30 card set is present here, with two extra cards. But the 2 extras are Eddie Plank and Clark Griffith so I doubt anyone will mind. The cards are in POOR to FAIR condition but present nicely. Included with the 2 cards of Plank and 2 cards of Griffith is one of the keys to the set, Honus Wagner, along with Hall of Famers Mathewson, Collins, Brown, Clarke, and McGraw. Other cards show Dooin, Gibson, Jones, Coveleskie, Pastorious, Phillippi, and Wiltse.
