S74 silks are an interesting issue, offered in different color variations and sporting various tobacco advertisements, but one thing they have in common is that it's extremely difficult to locate high-grade specimens due to the very nature of the material, which is prone to creasing and fraying. Graded SGC 7, this example featuring white coloring and a Red Sun reverse is one of only 4 graded by SGC, and the one and only SGC 7 with none graded higher, with the next highest grade on record at just SGC 3. Absent are the usual heavy fold line through the middle and extreme fraying along the top and bottom edge, this high-quality satin swatch looks just as it did when it was originally offered well over a century ago. The grainy image of "The Georgia Peach" is delivered with bold accuracy, perfectly placed in the center of the canvas, with the Red Sun reverse also appearing clean and sharp. A rare find, indeed!
