Pictured as a member of the Boston Red Sox, Cicotte appears on this 1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel card at the beginning of a great career and soon blossomed into one of the best hurlers in baseball. In 1919, Cicotte fashioned a 29-7 mark when owner Charlie Comiskey decided to "rest him for the playoffs," costing him his 30-win bonus and making him a willing participant in the Black Sox scandal. Nearly perfectly centered with deep red color surrounding a stone faced Cicotte that is not outdone by four slightly rounded corners that appear better than the VG/EX designation as evaluated by PSA.
