Of all the Ty Cobb cards from the same era as his examples in the T206 White Border series, perhaps the most elusive is the E92 Croft's Candy issue. It might surprise you to know that only 12 examples of this card have been evaluated by PSA, and when you compare that with other iconic examples such as the T206 Wagner, it pales in comparison for availability within the hobby. The card shows the mileage of a 116-year-old pasteboard in an admirably distinguished fashion, with scattered discoloration and heavy but evenly rounded corners, along with a crease that runs diagonally in the lower right quadrant. The image of Cobb is surprisingly well-detailed, and the orange-to-yellow backdrop is wonderfully radiant. Even the rarely encountered Croft's Candy reverse is impressively bold. If you're a collector of "The Georgia Peach" or trying to raise the status of your collection to the next level, this rare gem will do it!
