Up for auction is a profoundly NM/MT example of Addie Joss's T206 "Portrait" variation. Surpassed by only a single specimen on record at PSA, this T206 treasure vaunts NM/MT qualities throughout, with an exceptionally appealing image set against a near immaculate lemon candy backdrop. The square corners all present as angular points with tiny trespasses of wear at their very tips, while the edges vaunt MINT to GEM MINT qualities throughout the perimeter at every point but a single insignificant touch to the lower mid-left, well within the bounds of NM/MT. The centering shows a tolerable preference for the right border, a minor concern easily overshadowed by a delightfully powerful print registration resulting in an unusually strong contrast for the issue set against a no less impressive background. A sound PSA 8 NM/MT example of an important T206 depicting one of baseball's most tragic figures.
