From the very rare and highly regarded PC805 Novelty Cutlery postcard set issued in 1907, hails this exceptional issuance of Tyrus Raymond Cobb. The featured collectible has always been one of the most important and visually attractive Cobb "cards" from his early playing career. This is a virtually impossible-to-find and extremely significant Ty Cobb rarity and constitutes one of Cobb's earliest appearances on a pasteboard. Each of the corners shows a rounding that is moderate in appearance with the lower left corner showing a corner crease in from the corner with some minor creasing also apparent at the lower right corner. The image is well centered with a nearly perfectly focused image of the fierce Cobb. The reverse does display a one cent stamp as well as a fully written and addressed postcard back lending further astonishment as to this cards amazing survival. A terrific example of a true scarcity that grades VG aside from its intended postal use.
