The presented example of Charles "Gabby" Steet's incredibly appealing 1907-09 Novelty Cutlery issue has been graded SGC 40 VG 3 and reports just 1 like it with 1 marginally higher at SGC and none whatsoever known to PSA. Uniformly worn VG corners join EX/MT or better edges around a nicely centered and exceptionally sharp black and white image of "The Old Sarge." A subpar player during his brief career, Street nevertheless was influential in mentoring Walter Johnson in his earliest years, and he would later manage the increasingly famous St. Louis Cardinals to consecutive NL pennants in the early '30s and to a World Series championship in 1931.
