Up for auction is 1 of only 3 examples of Art Devlin's 1907-09 Novelty Cutlery Postcard on record at SGC and PSA combined. Recently graded SGC 50 VG/EX 4, the presented specimen ranks as 1 of just 2 with 0 higher at SGC, with none like it and just 1 higher at PSA. Uniformly worn VG/EX corners appear to be the only grade appropriate features and are easily overshadowed by the sprawling resplendence of both surfaces, highlighted by an utterly fantastic image of the New York Giants' fleet-footed third-baseman. Unlike our Street and Overall PC805 examples, but similar to our Bresnahan, this Devlin piece shows an added artistic touch throughout the player's uniform, creating an almost surreal and early modern art effect, no pun intended!
