As with the N28 and N29 sets, also produced by Allen & Ginter, the larger sized N43 series contains 50 cards with just a few, six in this case, designated for baseball players. Presented is an N43 card of Jim Fogarty, who played in Philadelphia for 7 years and stole 102 bases in 1887. Graded PSA 3, the card exhibits the usual corner rounding and edge chipping, which does nothing to detract from the captivating images and overall allure. A fantastic specimen from days past!
