Rounded corners and enamel chipping common to a card that is over 130 years old is evident on this Allen & Ginter issue of Hall of Famer John Montgomery Ward, although the overall eye-appeal surpasses the grade of SGC 40 VG 3. The reverse appears very impressive for the modest grade as well with only minor toning and age spotting. Not many VG specimens can pull this off!
