Graded EX 60(5) by SGC. Offered is a stunning and imagination-conjuring Hall Of Fame subject, Tim Keefe, from the seemingly prehistoric pasteboard offering known as Old Judges. Moderate corner wear at all four corners is evidenced by the accurate grade of EX by the astute graders at SGC. The card displays a wonderful appearance with a slightly muted image of the HOF pitcher standing in a batting stance. The centering is pleasing from left to right while the top to bottom centering shows a slight preference to the bottom edge. The reverse shows a creamy white stock with no noticeable blemishes apparent. In 1886 Keefe had 62 complete games and won 42, his career high, although 1888, when the Giants achieved their first pennant, was his finest season. He led the league in seven categories: 51 complete games, 35 victories, a 1.74 ERA, 333 strikeouts, and eight shutouts. Just take a minute and let those types of numbers sink in!
