Hall of Famer John Montgomery Ward is the subject of this magnificent 1887 Allen & Ginter card, graded SGC 60 EX 5. Common enamel chipping at the endpoints accounts for the technical grade, although the overall eye-appeal surpasses the grade. The reverse appears several grades better, with no toning or age spotting at all. Not many EX specimens can pull this off!
