Here's a group of 1880s baseball-themed trading cards, featuring colorized sketches of early elements of the game. Graded SGC 50 VG/EX 4 is a "struck out" card with an advertisement for Merchant's Gargling Oil on the front and J.G. Minges Furniture on the reverse, and a pair of SGC 30 GOOD 2 specimens with Capadura Segar ads on the back, one depicting a catcher entitled "Behind the Bat" and the other showing a close play at a base captioned "Judgment." The Capadura examples show evidence of having been affixed to an album or page at some point in time, but display with strong visual qualities. A nice trio of authentic trading cards approaching 130 years of age!
