1980 Rickey Henderson RC Tops $30,000 in Mile High Card Company Spring Elite Extra Innings Auction

Centennial, CO – Buoyed by a record-shattering price of just over $30,000 for a 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson RC PSA 10, almost three times the previous record, Mile High Card Company’s Spring Elite Extra Innings Auction was a resounding success!

Usually a forum for more moderately priced items targeted toward the casual collector, this Elite Extra Innings Auction was supercharged with many of the hottest cards in the hobby today. In addition to the incredible price on the Henderson, one of just 13 in existence, other important sales include a 1986 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan RC PSA 10, which fetched a near-record $14,800, a 1976 Topps #148 Walter Payton RC PSA 10 that sold for a record-breaking price of $14,700, a 1986 Topps #161 Jerry Rice RC PSA 10 at just over $11,500 and Tony Dorsett’s 1978 Topps #315 RC PSA 10 set a new record high at just over $6,700.
